BCD Travel invests in French market to support significant growth post-pandemic

UTRECHT, The Netherlands, Oct. 19, 2021 – BCD Travel France is pleased to announce the addition of corporate travel industry veteran Jean-Christian Fuentes to the global travel management company.

Fuentes’ move follows last year’s addition of sales professional Fadi Boumalhab. The investment represents BCD’s ongoing strategy to support growth in the French market and is part of a larger push to expand its presence and services to clients in France. Fuentes and Boumalhab each serve as Director of Sales, France.

Based in Bordeaux, former Olympic swimmer Fuentes joins BCD with more than 20 years of travel industry experience, the majority of which was spent in senior sales positions across various TMCs. Over the years, Fuentes secured key account sales and managed projects from pre-sales engagement through final negotiations. He also helped to define commercial strategies and oversaw sales teams in France.

Based in Paris, Boumalhab brings more than a decade of sales experience to BCD France, having held several senior business development roles. He most recently led sales efforts in southern Europe for health and security risk services company International SOS. Boumalhab also acted as Senior Business Development Manager with integrated services provider CIS, where he drove business development within the hydrocarbon, mining and construction sectors in Africa, Latin America and Middle-East.

As part of meeting the new surge in post-Covid demand for BCD Travel services, Fuentes and Boumalhab are focused on bringing value to large French firms and multinationals with a significant footprint in France via BCD’s proprietary, innovative offerings.

“I am very pleased that Jean-Christian and Fadi have joined the BCD Travel France sales team during this exciting time of investment and growth,” said Valérie Sasset, Managing Director, BCD Travel France.

“Jean-Christian and Fadi are focused on providing value to clients in the French market through unparalleled partnership aimed at supporting travel managers in continually improving their travel programs,” said Lisa McKenzie, SVP, EMEA/Global Sales. “Their industry connections and expertise are sure to make an immediate, positive impact.”

As business travel returns, Fuentes and Boumalhab will further advance BCD’s strong reputation in the French market, where it’s known for its excellent services and solutions that power a confident trip experience; superb data consolidation and reporting solutions that solve for distribution complexity and content fragmentation; and new and unique sustainable travel solutions that use the first ISO-certified methodology to calculate business travel emissions.
