BCD Travel earns EcoVadis Platinum sustainability rating For the third year, BCD has received the Platinum rating from EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.

Travel management company BCD Travel announced today that they will leverage FairFly’s market-leading technology and artificial intelligence to power their Air Price Assurance (APA) solution. With FairFly’s global automated GDS coverage, BCD will be able to offer their APA solution to its entire customer base. The technology will allow BCD to maximize automated savings on air spend for clients.

Leading travel management company BCD Travel announced the appointment of Michèle Lawley to the role of President, Europe, effective August 31. Lawley will take over complete operational and financial responsibility for BCD’s activities in Europe, focusing on creating and capitalizing on opportunities to ensure long-term, sustainable growth in the region.

In a move to further strengthen its midmarket presence, BCD Travel has appointed David Mitchell as president of BCD Travel Midmarket in North America.

Starting July 1, BCD Travel began servicing Airbus in its four European home markets: France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. BCD already has existing partnerships with Airbus in Canada, China, India, and the United States.

Travel buyers feel that traveler satisfaction and wellbeing is the second most important travel program priority after duty of care, according to a recent BCD Travel survey in March of 118 travel buyers worldwide, with 92% of survey respondents listing the topic as extremely or very important.

As travel resumes, there will be a broader set of risks to be faced, beyond those associated with the pandemic, according to BCD Travel’s just released Travel Risk Outlook report. This new report provides travel managers, purchasing managers and corporate travel arrangers with essential information to set priorities and adjust their corporate travel programs in times of high uncertainty and constant change.

While 89% of business travelers say employee wellbeing is a priority at their company, only 51% feel that their company provides traveler wellbeing support, according to a recent BCD Travel survey of 875 business travelers worldwide.

The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted business travel to refocus its priorities. Leading travel management company BCD Travel identified eight trends that will resonate with travel managers and travelers in 2022 and compiled them in a new report, Business Travel Trends for 2022.
